NPT (New Paradigm Thinking)

The change is upon us. The shift is happening as we speak, from divisiveness and separation, to spiritual solidarity and connectedness. Despite the outward signs and negative stimulus of economic strife, world political tensions, and environmental upheavals, evolution of consciousness is happening on a mass scale. With this new transition into a more spiritually enlightened consciousness is a greater sense of self, a deeper connection to Source energy, and a conscious willingness to embrace love and reject hatred and fear. But this transition of spiritual convergence is a process, and there are opposite polarities of energy that are trying its best to hold this wave of enlightenment at bay. They will not succeed. Nonetheless, vigilance is the operative word for those who are now turning on the enlightenment switch; making the transition from fear to love, and awakening to their own Divinity and spiritual purpose. Here and now it is vitally important that our intent be felt, our energies become merged, and our voices be heard. Within this context is the need to adopt a new and more spiritually refined outlook on our destiny, knowing that we control our fate by virtue of what we think and what we feel, not to mention what we do. This is as true for a collective mass consciousness as it is for an individual consciousness, perhaps even more so. With it, we must begin to adopt what could respectfully be called NPT, or New Paradigm Thinking.

To best understand what NPT is, it may first be helpful to outline our current way of thinking and being; what might be termed OPT, or Old Paradigm Thinking. From this Machiavellian mindset comes accepted concepts and practices such as:

Duplicity
Cunning
Selfishness
Greed
Malevolence
Dishonesty
Coercion
Dishonor

…and so many more examples not listed, but you get the idea. These types of attitudes and actions have often times been accepted as standard corporate practice, rationalized by the overworked phrase, “Nothing personal…It’s only business.” OPT has us accepting dysfunctional behavior as normalcy. Where honor and honesty, doing right by our neighbor and looking out for one another used to be attributes that were common in community, we are now being bombarded with a strong sense of guardedness and distrust towards our fellow human beings, adopting the roles of either victim or aggressor. Our psyche is being bombarded on a daily basis with tabloid journalism, political hate speech, and reality television with consistent themes of trickery, deceit, and doing in one’s opponent (and even teammate) in order to win the prize. Rude behavior and deteriorating public decorum are running rampant (e.g. Rep. Joe Wilson’s “You Lie!” outburst during President Obama’s address to Congress, Kanye West’s tirade towards Taylor Swift at the MTV awards, etc.), and an imbalanced sense of entitlement among many seem to create aggressive behavior that finds its center in Service to Self, rather than Service to Others.

These are but a few of the qualities that have been adopted within much of society’s current mindset and actions. In truth it is a manipulation of our core spiritual nature on an unbelievable scale; a system set up to derail us from our true course through treachery and negative conditioning, and looks to hold people in psychological bondage by those who would want to control us. Over millennia, we as a world consciousness have been exploited, coerced and tricked into thinking that this is simply the way things are; that this is the norm, when in fact it is super-imposed illusion. Those that are able to rise above the psycho-spiritual fray and reject these negative notions are often looked upon with great inspiration, awe and reverence, for their achievements are so out of the norm that they serve as inspiration for others. In fact, this should be the norm. Know that these same enlightened Souls are considered a threat to those who would seek to maintain and regulate the status-quo. Nonetheless, this new wave of enlightenment is occurring with increasing strength, urgency and purpose, and it is up to each and every one of us coming online spiritually to do our respective part in spreading this wave of love forward to a critical mass. It is what people yearn for, but are simply unsure how to get to. It is the growing seed of the New Paradigm Thinking.

How does one get there (here)? It starts with a simple declaration within, asking for inner help and enlightenment to know one’s self; to begin to accept the nature of our true identity as Soul. It takes a conscious leap of faith to understand and accept that you are not your body, that you are eternal, and that you are a part of the whole of existence, interconnected and Godlike. It then takes an inner request to help you help yourself in realizing the true magnitude of your spiritual being, stepping out of your limited shell of illusion into a truly dynamic realization that you are a spark of love energy, created by Source. Once you open yourself to this wave of love, simply allow the flood of insight and understanding to come to you, to flow through you. There is no need to fear, for this process is the greatest expression of Divine love there is, and Source is waiting for the opportunity. When the flow begins, the many veils of spiritual amnesia will begin to be lifted, and you will start to realize that it was never a question of having to learn anything, but simply remembering everything. It is a wonderful process, but you must take the first step; you must make the inner request. Upon allowing yourself to experience this love energy, you should next make the inner request to begin surrounding yourself with others that are having the same experience. Don’t worry about trying to find them, Spirit will provide the introductions. Just allow it to happen. When you do, talk with them, share your insights and ask questions. You don’t have to force any notions upon anyone. You simply have to become the truth unfolding. Like a wildfire your light will ignite others. When you live your spirituality and become a beacon of love energy, very often that energy alone can become a beacon of light for others to awaken. It is truly an amazing experience when you become more consciously aware of things. This is the first step of the final leg of your spiritual journey, a journey out of illusion and into complete cosmic consciousness and awareness.

Be prepared to allow old notions of spirituality and religious belief to fall away (If it doesn’t fit, you must forget). You will simply not need them anymore, for they will be replaced with a growing conscious recognition and understanding of universal Spiritual truth. From there, it becomes important to practice this newfound freedom and understanding on a daily basis by accepting and sending unconditional love throughout your surroundings and into the world. You will understand and realize that you are tapping into an unlimited source of Divine energy. It will never run out. Also, your conscious outflow will help to heal others around you.

More and more, your awakening will bring with it a clear understanding of the ideals and qualities of NPT; notions of trust, honesty, nobility, spiritual connectedness and working for the good of the whole as well as healing our planet. These notions that have been so terribly distorted as to be considered signs of weakness, when in fact they are some of the greatest core strengths that the universe possess. Many an old Utopian ideal needs to be dusted off and given another look. They are ideals that are achievable, but only when we are able to make this all important shift.

Critical mass is what we are striving for here, for this is a wave that will not be halted. In your own quiet way, become that conscious beacon of love energy and allow yourself to be a Divine vessel of Spiritual change. It is what we came into this incarnation to do. I’m simply reminding you of it now. When we reach this all-important threshold, amazing things will begin to occur, both from a physical perspective in terms of abilities as well as a multi-dimensional perspective in terms of our conscious awareness. Within this new paradigm will also come a reunion of sorts; an inter-galactic reconnection with our Spiritual neighbors, all of whom have been waiting patiently for us to awaken to our true selves in order to become a conscious part of a much greater community (…more on this later.) Just know that this is our time, and it is time for all of us to step up and be heard. You are more than a human being; more than a human doing; you are a human becoming. Allow yourself to become.

Spirituality and the Economy

We’re living in troubled times right now. As optimistic a picture as many experts, pundits, and governmental officials are trying to paint our current situation, the road ahead looks to be a long, tough, and arduous one. Economic indicators such as escalating unemployment wavering between 9% and 11% nationwide, growing inflation, the slow turnaround in the housing market with some banks only approving 7% of eligible home refinances, plus volatile world currency indicators all seem to bare this out. Instability is going to be our close companion for many days to come. For me, all of this points to a very basic and fundamental need to shift our attitude and level of understanding and acceptance away from that of dependency (waiting for external bailouts and social/governmental handouts) and more towards self-sufficiency. The truth is, the cavalry will not be coming around the corner any time soon, so we have to start taking greater responsibility for ourselves and others. As such, we are being incrementally forced out of our comfort zones, and we now need to really begin thinking more about how to take care of each other in a much more focused, basic, self-supportive, family oriented and community-centric way.

The signs of this basic change in attitude are happening all around us already. More people are taking up the practice of home gardening, growing backyard crops and storing them properly for later use, saving seeds for the next planting season, and supporting local agriculture. More and more local co-ops and farmers markets are springing up in places where such concepts were not even considered years ago. Community farming areas are becoming much more popular and people, even in urban areas, are starting to till the soil for the first time.

In addition, old concepts such as consignment and lay-away are becoming popular again. With growing job layoffs and diminishing financial liquidity, people are becoming more creative with one another, offering barter in the form of goods for goods, and/or services/sweat equity for supplies and assistance in things that are necessary for personal and family sustenance and survival. People are learning to take better care of the things they own, holding on to items longer to get greater use before disposing of them, or simply learning to do without. More people are doing DIY (do-it-yourself) projects and calling upon the help of their neighbor to assist when necessary, knowing that they will return the favor in kind. Many more people are beginning to explore the outdoors, getting back to nature through camping, learning more about their natural surroundings and how to survive within them. This is a very good thing. I myself love camping and share this love with members of my family whenever possible. With rising, unsustainable healthcare costs, less people are insured. More are focusing their health maintenance on more natural, holistic and/or homeopathic approaches. Many are practicing preventive maintenance through better diet and more exercise. People are biking more. For better or worse, people are adapting as best they can to deteriorating economic and social conditions. They are hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst. One thing that has allowed our species to survive for so long is our ability to adapt to change. This is a key and vital characteristic for all living creatures who have evolved and prospered throughout millennia. Those that do not adapt to change will eventually fail to survive it. This is just a fundamental law of nature.

Having presented such a disheartening scenario, you may ask what is the spiritual significance of all of this? The significance is quite simple, yet so important. We are all at a very momentous crossroads in our respective spiritual journey. A convergence of forces have all brought us to this very important place, where we must now decide whether, as a species, as a world, and as Soul we flounder in a sea of fear and hopelessness moving deeper towards our base regressive animal nature, or choose to ride the wave of spiritual growth and awareness to a more evolved, loving and caring state of consciousness where we realize we are all one; where we control our destiny, we control our fate. This is an opportunity to change the world in such a critical way (to take it back), realizing that deprivation and limitation are all illusion; that there is enough. We now have the opportunity to make a conscious change in how we view one another, realizing that we are all connected by the chords of Divine love that keep us all together.

Yes, there is a need for great concern and action, but that need must be looked upon as an opportunity to not accept the current scenario any further and rise up. We decide our future and our fate, not something outside of us. When we begin to live from the standpoint of love for one another, we can collectively begin to help each other move through this period together, as one voice, as one consciousness. Despite what the external signs may be fooling us to perceive, we do have a choice. There is enough; there is abundance, but we must begin to shift our attitudes and consciousness away from the selfish, self serving ways of the past to a more inclusive and loving coexistence with our brothers and sisters in this world. The truth is that the majority of people on this planet want exactly what I’m talking about; they yearn for it. It has simply been denied them through coercion and fear.

So we can overcome this, we can get through this. The important thing to continuously ask yourself throughout this ordeal is what are the lessons and how do we turn them to our advantage? As more and more awakened Souls come online and express Divine love for one another, the energy will change. The barriers will fall; it is inevitable. Use this time of perceived struggle as an opportunity for growth. Pursue your passion. Be creative in the things you do. Connect with your higher self for answers and insight. Begin to exercise your spiritual solidarity regardless of theology or belief system. When you see someone in need, help him/her; you’ll be helping yourself in the process. As the song goes “Lean on Me, when you’re not strong…” Hang in there everybody, for this too shall pass, and we will be in a wonderful new place very soon. That is, if we collectively choose to do so.

Situational Awareness

I have been talking for some time now about awakening to one’s own divinity, to the realization that we are all Divine sparks of God awareness; that in fact we are all Source energy itself, individuated and self aware. Within the context of this awakening comes a few interesting perks. These perks include a conscious and growing recognition that we now control our destiny and fate by virtue of what we think, and that we can create and manifest anything we want in accordance with the spiritual laws of the universe. But one of the most fundamental gifts of awakening is that we start to become more and more aware of ourselves, our true purpose, and the myriad of things that are going on around us, both from the most obvious to the most subtle and discreet. The veils of illusion begin to drop away and we are left with clear, discernable and unfettered understandings of life in all of its dimensions. But this awareness often includes the good, the bad, and the ugly. There is an old and well-worn saying that goes “Ignorance is bliss”. This sentiment was very well illustrated in the movie, The Matrix “…do you want the blue pill or the red pill?” Knowing changes things, for when you know, you can never go back. It is within this framework that I write this current entry, for awakening in its most fundamental realization, means seeing things as they truly are; raw, clear, and uncensored.

There is a term that is used in both military and technology related circles, as well as public affairs arenas, and serves as a very good frame of reference for this conversation. It is known as situational awareness. Situational awareness in its basic understanding is being aware of one’s surroundings both from the standpoint of what is within your control and what is not within your control, in order to formulate proper conclusions, decisions, plans, strategies, tactics and directions that will ensure desired outcomes. It is a keen perception of what is going on around you and how it impacts the decisions you make. It can also be considered the degree of accuracy by which one's perception of his current environment mirrors reality. When one perceives something, they become aware not just of the existence of the thing, but based on previous experiences in life, what the implications are both for you and within your sphere of awareness. But perception can often be manipulated to suit the whims of the manipulator, so the utilization and strengthening of all of your newly acquired senses will become increasingly vital. It is important to not always take things at face value. Healthy skepticism can be a good thing, for it means digging deeper to get to truth.

Our society for far too long has been dummied down to the degree that people know less and less about the world they live in and what is going on within it. On a daily basis we are fed intellectual and psychosocial pablum by the entertainment-centric media machine, and many have become addicted to this 24/7 information cycle filled with little substance and so much hype (garbage in, garbage out). With reality television, exploitative entertainment news cycles and hard news stories that carry an increasing amount of editorial opinion (right, left and center) and less and less objective news content, our opinions and beliefs are being shaped and molded in a manner that does not allow people to exercise very much independent thought at all. This is the age of the sound-byte and information is being taken in and accepted at face value. As such, few people are digging deeper to find the more intimate and subtle aspects of the “truth” they are being fed. We’re getting information overload and as such are finding it harder and harder to contemplate on any one thing long enough to formulate a balanced and nuanced point of view. This is the sad state of affairs (and awareness) our world currently faces.

I say all of this to implore each and every one of you to look deeper into that which you currently call truth and reality. Look deeper both from the context of your own more nuanced inner understanding of self through the daily practices of meditation, contemplation and inner spiritual travel, to peeling back the onion of information being given to us on a daily basis. Remember, you are the microcosm of the macrocosm; you are a spark of God awareness with all of the tools and capabilities that such a creation embodies. Now is the time to start exercising this awareness within you. It is the time to begin developing and expanding your (extra) sensory awareness to the degree that you will be better able to discern the wheat from the chaff, the fact from the fiction. As the cosmic energy begins to speed up more and more, the awakened will better see the things around them as they truly are, whether that truth is pleasant or otherwise. When that awareness becomes clear, it will be time to act. It will be time to do your part in making this world a better place for all mankind. There is no fear, for you live in eternity, and you begin to realize that part of your current mission (in this incarnation) is in fact to awaken at this point in time and do your part.

The truth is out there if you have the curiosity to look and the courage of your convictions to want to know. Not everything is fun and rosy in Whoville, but we all have the power to make things better. We just need to build the collective will to do so, and the unstoppable spiritual consensus to make it happen. Take the time to start peeling back the onion of truth and existence. The layers are deep, but the truth is there for those willing to look. The question becomes, how deep down the rabbit hole are you willing to go? Don’t worry, your spiritual family (All That Is) has your back.

Ascension and Personal Responsibility

Everything that happens to you is due to you. These are tough words to reconcile for some, and in many ways hard to fathom for others, but from the standpoint of divine spiritual understanding they are absolutely true. We create our own universes by virtue of what we think and the emotional energy we project. Our thoughts have energy and that energy goes out into the ethers with the express purpose of fulfilling these thoughts through manifestation into physical reality. Because we have been living in 3rd density reality for so long; a very coarse, dense and comparatively slow vibratory rate of existence, there is fortunately a healthy lag time between seed thought and out-pictured creation. But we create our lives and the circumstances therein. Karma dictates that (in most cases) we must live through it, and the cause and effect lessons hopefully allow us to gain wisdom as a result. All of these and many more factors are built into the mechanism that could best be described as Spiritual evolution.

Now we are entering a new phase of existence; a new creation wave of Spiritual energy is washing over all of us now. It is refining and speeding up the vibratory rate that we all are living in, causing a quantum shift on both the micro and macro level. It is making the transition between thought and manifestation occur faster, and it is opening our hearts, minds and spiritual awareness to a new and significant understanding of who and what we are as Soul. Many are beginning to wake up to their true divinity and purpose, realizing that they are not the physical shell they occupy. Some have awakened to their true mission and are venturing forth for the purpose of helping others realize the true potential and magnitude of their being. This ascension into a more cosmic consciousness is taking place all around us, and for those who are willing to ride this major creation wave of spiritual evolution the transition is magical. But in order for this to occur, we must leave behind the outmoded concepts of suppression, oppression, and victimization. These are all illusion and based in a fear consciousness that presupposes you have no control over your life. There are those that would like nothing more than to perpetuate this feeling and make you feel vulnerable forever, but once the veil of illusion is lifted, we begin to realize that we are all Divine sparks of God and have both the free will and power to define what our life will be. The oppressors lose control. Now we must realize that in order to progress in our own spiritual evolution we must take personal responsibility for our lives and life course. Only then will we be able to ride this majestic wave of vibrational transition into 4th (or higher) density reality. It is within this context of personal responsibility that our true growth occurs, for when one realizes that they are the masters of their own universe and destiny, then one takes ownership of that which lies within it, and drives their spiritual course in accordance with their state of evolving consciousness. This is the beginning step to the road of ascension.

Courage is necessary and reluctance must be assuaged. There is an old saying I remember, “Only the adventurous find God.” Courage is attainable, for it is merely a conscious shift from fear to love. In response to a question on overcoming fear I had once during these correspondences I stated, “…if you think about it analytically, love is not just a feeling or emotion, it is a polarity of energy; it is a technique. You have the choice in determining what you choose to think and feel at any given moment - this is your right. Exercise love in your heart, be cause and not effect, and do the work daily that aligns yourself with this [creation] wave. You have the power...”

Again, this is your spiritual birthright. This is what you were meant to do in accordance with the growth and expansion of All That Is. As you expand, IT expands, and vice versa. For those who choose to live in a regressive state of consciousness, they will not be joining those of us who will be transitioning. This is primarily because they will not be able to handle the more highly refined vibratory rate of 4th density spiritual existence. For those who continue to live in fear, fear will hold you back. For those who live in hate and anger, these are but subsets of fear and will hold you back. This refined energy, by its very nature, is a love-centric energy designed to open up our hearts, minds and spiritual awareness and lift the veils of illusion that have been your companions for so long. If you are ready to begin you only need go within yourself and accept God’s unconditional love, asking for IT’s inner spiritual light and guidance. It shall be given. For those who are already on the journey, stay vigilant and continue to do the daily work that keeps you in alignment with this loving energy. For everyone who has awakened or is now just beginning to awaken, welcome to the party. For those who are ready for this quantum shift, please know that the journey has already begun and if you align your heart with God’s love, you already have a ticket; the wave will pull you through. ALL ABOARD!

MISSION: IMPERATIVE

Good day my fellow Awakened Souls. Forces bent on keeping the masses asleep and caught up in the daily chaos of divisiveness between our fellow beings are continuing to wreak havoc all over the world(s). Your mission (should you decide to accept it) is to switch on your internal light and awaken to a clear understanding of who and what you are, Soul. You are then given the important task of helping to inform as many un-awakened Souls as possible to their true identity and assist them in turning on their Spiritual lights. In doing so, we will be able to help each other radiate the fullness of God’s love throughout the entire world. This is a crucial yet achievable goal; each one teach one (or more). Its potential impact is exponential. With enough awakened Souls involved in the process we can quickly and most assuredly reach critical mass, and change our future for the better. Of course, if any members of this awakening force should choose not to flip their switch, free will certainly dictates that this is their choice. However, be aware that this sleep state will cause you to perpetuate a victim mentality, thereby succumbing to those energies that want nothing more than to manipulate and exploit your vulnerable state of consciousness to the full extent. Good luck on your mission fellow Souls, and know that you are on the winning side.

We are all at a very crucial juncture in our existence. It is now time for all of us who have turned on our lights and come into a conscious realization that we are Divine beings; that we are sparks of God consciousness to help others come into the same level of understanding within themselves. Now is the time for each of us to pay it forward; to open our hearts and yes, our mouths, and communicate to those who will hear us that it is time to build a critical mass of enlightened consciousness. It is time to now step up and help others switch the light on as to their true identity so as to begin to radiate vital love energy throughout the world.

This is a world movement afoot, and the Awaken to One Alliance is going to be doing its part to ratchet things up quite a bit in the coming weeks and months. Understand, the term “Awaken to One” is a verb. It is a call to action for enlightened Souls to realize their true identity and true potential, and help others to do the same. We no longer have the luxury of keeping these truths to ourselves. We must speak up and act. We must let our voices be heard. We must live the Divinity that is all of us. We must become walking beacons of Divine love. Our energy has great power and meaning. Our love force can instantly affect change. But there are not enough of us out there yet doing their part. There is indeed a growing consensus of purpose, but much more needs to be done. We need to do more than talk the talk; we must now walk the walk. We must step up and speak within the framework of our true Divine nature. Its time to start shaking things up a bit; no more status-quo thinking and acting. Martin Luther King once stated so eloquently “Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but it comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can’t ride you unless your back is bent.” Now is the year of living Spiritually. Now is the time for all of us who have come into a clear and conscious understanding of who and what we are to share these truths with others. It can happen, but you must do your part.

As mentioned before, in the coming weeks and months, the Awaken to One Alliance will be launching a new website that will serve as an important catalyst for a new and focused Spiritual grassroots movement. This movement’s mission is nothing less than serving as a major catalyst for Divine awakening for all who are willing to take the journey. With this awakening of Soul will come an equally important revelation, that we are One; that we are all connected. With this recognition it is strongly felt that a new understanding of love and compassion for our fellow man will emerge. A clear understanding will evolve that if I hurt you, I hurt myself. We are One.

This new website which will be revealed to everyone very, very soon and will provide a myriad of diverse information we believe to be essential in helping individuals learn and discover important aspects of themselves as Soul (so stay tuned). It will, in many ways, become a repository of information already out there in the ethers, but often difficult to access for those who are unsure where to look. It will provide diverse opinions and perspectives on Spirituality from many, many relevant voices; all with a unique insight into aspects of Spirituality. It will provide information essential to the development and expansion of Soul awareness. The Awaken to One website will also serve as a virtual community for the sharing of diverse opinion, dialogue and discussion. No one person or belief system has all the answers, and it is from the context of putting the puzzle pieces together to gain a greater perspective of what is going on that we will be striving for. We will try and help you connect the dots of what you need to know and what you need to do. This is in no way a religion or religious movement. It is in its basic terms, a Spiritual awakening.

With that said, Awaken to One cannot do it alone, nor should we. We need your help to make this happen. We need your input; we need your talent. We need your voice. If you are a writer, blogger, poet, musician, artist, or just someone who wants to lend their energy, effort and support to this important project, we need your help and will be more than happy to provide you with a forum on the Awaken to One website to have your voice expressed. This new site will be a growing and dynamic project and process, which is already developing and expanding very quickly. The Awaken to One Alliance takes the word Alliance very seriously. This awakening cannot occur in a vacuum. Its success is solely conditioned on your help and energy. But as single drops of water can eventually grow into a rolling sea, so too can this movement (already in progress) become an ocean of love for all to connect with. As those contest promoters always say, “You can’t win if you don’t enter.” Get off the sidelines, become a participant. It’s what you were created by Source to do anyway. Redemption: Second Chances

Last week I was listening to a fascinating interview on NPR featuring former Indianapolis Colts head coach, Tony Dungy. The subject of the discussion was about Michael Vick, former quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons who was arrested, convicted and sentenced for dog fighting charges and inhumane treatment of animals. Dungy spoke of how he met Vick during an exhibition game some years ago between the Falcons and Colts in Japan, and how they might possibly get together for a fishing trip. The trip never materialized, but Dungy, who is now an ordained Minister, reflected on whether or not he might have had an influence on Vick had they had the chance to fish together and talk. In the flow of conversations, things would come up (perhaps dog fighting), and maybe Dungy could have expressed to him that it was wrong and maybe, just maybe, could have changed Vick’s course. As it stands now, Dungy and Vick have reconnected. Dungy had visited Vick in prison many times and they’ve become good friends. What was interesting is Dungy stated that Michael Vick wasn’t that different from other football players that he had coached. Also, that it was important to not be so cavalier about judging what Vick did. Yes the revelation of what he did was horrendous, but Vick, like so many others, was raised into a culture where this type of behavior was considered normal and acceptable. Bottom line is that Vick now seems to sincerely see the error of his ways and is trying to make amends for what he did. He has actually become a major spokesperson for the SPCA foundation and plans to make regular engagements and speeches on behalf of the organization. The most significant thing to me that Dungy said in his interview was that if he were still coaching, he would take that chance on Vick, extraordinary words coming from such a successful former NFL coach of the year. Now Vick has just signed with the Philadelphia Eagles and seems very humble for the newfound opportunity.

Another incredible story has to do with a gentleman by the name of R Dwayne Betts who at age 16 committed a car-jacking and later served nine years in prison, but through serious introspection and personal rehabilitation turned his life around and is now a very respected writer and author; his new book is entitled A Question of Freedom. Betts is another stellar example of redemption and second chances, and how Spirit has a way of providing for those who are ready and willing to make a major shift in their consciousness and a major change in their lives.

I make mention of these examples only to illustrate the importance of allowing redemption and second chances to occur, and why we often need to be very careful when sitting in judgment of others. From a Spiritual perspective, we must all be mindful that the course of our own lives has often been fraught with questionable decisions and consequences, resulting in opportunities for growth. While we must ultimately pay the price for karmic decisions that sometimes cause pain to ourselves and others, once that debt has been paid, one should be given an opportunity to create a life anew with a clean slate; grow and show that you are a better person as a result of this perilous journey.

As Soul, the ultimate redemptive second chance is death and rebirth through reincarnation. The slate is usually wiped clean and you are able to start fresh, with the veil of amnesia placed over the individual’s memory, but with a deep-set knowingness and wisdom imbedded within the individual as a result of the life lessons that they were able to pick up in the last life. Even beyond this, what is important is the fact that we must start viewing and seeing individuals through the eyes of Soul, that divine spark of God awareness that we all are. We are not our incarnational identity, but a part of the Divine itself. The goal in all of this is for each and every one of us to awaken and evolve in our own personal perspectives and outlooks towards ourselves and our fellow man/woman. Everyone deserves a chance to redeem themselves, but we often hold on to past misdeeds with an executioner’s mindset, where nothing a person does will matter because the taint is already there.

There will be many who will not forgive or support the decision that the Philadelphia Eagles have made toward Michael Vick. One can only hope that more individuals will give him a chance to prove himself worthy. More importantly, it is my sincere hope that people begin to take a more evolved perspective and understand we all have been on the hot seat at various times in our personal reincarnational experiences, but because of Divine providence, were given multiple chances to get things right. As Soul, it is time to look into every person’s eyes with the recognition that we are all Divine Sparks of God. Some of us are more awake than others, but in the final scheme of things we are all just as loved by All That Is.

Spiritual vs. Psychic Energy

God energy, for all intent and purposes, is a neutral force. It is an intelligent force, but contrary to traditional religious dogma and belief, it is not concerned with outcome in the way we have been conditioned to think. The energy exists for life-force sustenance and to be used both consciously and unconsciously for the purpose of manifestation; ignorance of the law of attraction is no excuse. When an individual petitions God for a particular outcome through prayer, from the perspective of Divine energy, this petition is no different than a person thinking about something they passionately want. The intention is the same, to manifest. In an earlier blog entry entitled, Understanding Belief (Part I), I stated that “…A thought is a prayer… in exactly the same way we exercise the intent of petition through prayer, our thoughts basically create the same effect and outcome. The cosmic energy makes no distinction between a formal petition through prayer and an impassioned thought… as we transition ever deeper into the heightened vibration of our new spiritual paradigm, the karmic connection between our seed thought and its out-pictured effect will become even more apparent in our conscious perception.”

This karmic connection is something that I believe deserves deeper analysis and consideration. With almost no exception, everything creates karma. This is neither good nor bad; it is merely an aspect of spiritual law that we cannot escape. There is however, one extremely important exception to this fundamental rule. The only thing that is karma-less in nature is sending love to the Creator. This creates no karma whatsoever. It only creates a wonderful and fulfilling feedback loop of divine love back to the sender. This outflow of divine love to God for love’s sake makes no request of any kind, and is therefore free from any cause/effect relational energy, consistent with the creation of karma. This is a very important distinction to understand and paves the way for a deeper discussion on the difference between Spiritual energy and Psychic energy.

Psychic energy is an extremely ubiquitous and powerful force. It can be used for a myriad of purposes from general manifestation through the law of attraction to mental telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation, prophecy, psychic healing, and inter-dimensional communication and travel to name a few. It has both positive and negative aspects determined by intent, and can be used for good as well as for evil. Those knowing practitioners of the black arts are well aware of its power and use it regularly and often for negative and malicious purposes. There are also those who are equally aware of its energy but use it for good and to counter-balance the negative energy taking place throughout current world affairs. In truth, we all to some degree use psychic energy everyday, whether we are consciously aware of it or not. The hope is certainly that as we grow spiritually and more aware of the subtle energies around and through us, we serve more and more as a conscious channel for divine loving energy. With this in mind, and with the earlier mention of karma as a backdrop, I’d like to make a few key distinctions that we should all be aware.

First, Spiritual energy is much, much more powerful than psychic energy, and should be utilized over and above all else. What makes this energy Spiritual is that it is centered within the Divine love of Source energy. All energy, whether psychic or otherwise comes from All That Is, but what makes Spiritual energy different from psychic energy is the intention of specific outcome. Let me repeat this; the difference between Spiritual energy and psychic energy is THE INTENTION OF SPECIFIC OUTCOME. Spiritual energy has no intention for outcome. It is only sent in love, to where it is needed.

Second, when practicing Spiritual energy, it is important to know how to formulate and utilize the energy so as not to make it psychic in nature, and therefore karmic. Using prayer as an example, let’s investigate this further. In our example, a person is feeling ill and needs to see the Doctor. The Doctor determines that the patient needs to be checked into the hospital right away. This person is very sick and his condition is 50/50. Wanting to help this person, you send out a prayer asking God to take away his ills and make him well again. As well intentioned as this prayer may be, it is a classic case of using psychic energy and not Spiritual energy. In order for this to become a Spiritual energy exercise, it would be better to, in the name of the Creator, send loving energy to this person only. You surround the individual in your mind’s eye with loving God energy, but you do not ask for any specific outcome, for “Thy will be done”.

You see, who are you to take away a person’s spiritual experience? Who are you to take away his karma? Perhaps this individual is in the hospital because he was not taking proper care of himself and was abusing his body through poor diet and lack of exercise. Perhaps this experience is an opportunity to provide a wake up call for better health practices. You simply don’t know, so to ask for this person to get well might be doing him a karmic disservice. Better to send Divine love to an individual with no formal intention, and allow Source energy to determine what is best in the situation. Believe me, this is a powerful exercise and one centered in Divine Love. That Soul will be well taken care of.

This type of energy utilization is sometimes easier said than done, especially if it involves a loved one. I am by no means telling anyone to do anything other than what they feel is best in their particular circumstance. I am only pointing out the differences so that you can become more of a conscious channel for Divine energy. It takes practice and in some cases a bit of spiritual detachment so as to remain objective and open while utilizing this loving energy. Trust that IT will do what is best.

So you can indeed direct very powerful Spiritual energy to any situation you deem appropriate, as long as you understand that it is not up to you to determine what the cause and effect relationship should be; you simply don’t know enough. But All That Is knows all there is. Leave it to the expert. Namaste.
