Like Water

Earlier this week, I sent out a Tweet (on Twitter) that stated, “A rigid mind is a self-containing prison. Seek truth in all directions.” I felt compelled to write this because in my daily ritual of capturing the pulse of the world’s consciousness with it’s many levels, I’ve become more and more aware and concerned at the rigidity of fixed belief systems (of all kinds) and their inability to allow the person who identifies with them to open up their heart and mind long enough to even entertain a different opinion or point of view. Sometimes, this point of view may not even be a 180° voice of polar opposition, but simply a varied perspective, or way of looking at the same belief. Nonetheless, the rigid mindset espouses “I’m right and you’re wrong…my way or the highway.” This is not living in an awakened state, not by a long shot.

I began thinking about how so many individuals hold on to their respective belief systems for dear life, thinking that their way is truth; that they are truth seekers when in fact they are actually nothing more than rigid gatekeepers for their respective belief. I started thinking metaphorically about the best description for an awakened state of being. Looking at the FIJI bottle in front of me, I immediately started thinking about water. Water is fluid; it’s adaptable. It’s pliable. Water finds the path of least resistance, always seeking the balanced middle. Like a stream that seeks the river, and the river that seeks the ocean, water cannot be contained. It may be temporarily held back, but its destiny will not be halted forever. Yes, water is the perfect metaphor for a truth seeker because it adapts and adjusts to any condition placed in front of it. Bruce Lee, the late Kung Fu Master and founder of the martial arts style, Jeet Kune Do put it best when he said, “Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way round or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.” As it relates to formless form, he again states, “Empty your mind, be formless; shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.”

The rigid mind is a self-containing prison, and belief is its ready warden. The thing is, it doesn’t matter what you believe, if you become rigid to it, you will inevitably be in opposition to those who are in rigid disagreement with it or who have unique or expanded perspectives about it. Within this rigidity of mind and thought, conflict will always prevail. Rigid belief combined with fear makes up the one/two combination for personal self-containment and the stunting of spiritual growth. This is what traps the person in five-sensory reality and does not allow the expansion of universal consciousness to enter a person’s auric field.

Those with STS consciousness who know how this works can use it quite effectively to keep people from gaining the awareness they deserve by pitting one belief against another. It really doesn’t matter what the belief system may be; all that matters is that you hold on to it with fierce devotion and will fight for your belief with anyone who dare oppose you. This may be religious, political, social, national, racial, ethnic, or any other. All of these fierce beliefs hold you back from the big picture; YOU ARE SOUL, a divine spark of God awareness. You are the formless form. Those with open minds and hearts who allow the universal stream of God consciousness to enter into their being, causing them to consciously connect with Infinite awareness is the greatest fear to STS consciousness, because it takes away their control. The awakened person does not allow him/herself to fall into false righteousness through rigid belief.

There is another aspect to water that is even more penetrating and compelling, and it is not metaphorical. I recall an excellent docu-drama a few years ago that I was privileged to see the screening of, What the (Bleep) Do We Know?, starring Marley Matlin. If you have not seen this, I strongly recommend that you do so. In it, there is a scene when Marley’s character was in a subway platform looking at a fascinating exhibition of water crystal photos. These photos were taken by renowned Japanese researcher, Dr. Masaru Emoto, who was able to prove that thoughts and feelings can affect physical reality. Using a very powerful microscope in a cold room along with high-speed photography, Dr. Emoto was able to photograph newly formed crystals of frozen water samples that were subject to focused intentions either through written or spoken words, as well as through music. Dr. Emoto used the same water samples, and after being viewed multiple times during different forms of focused intent, they appeared to change their molecular crystalline composition as a direct result of the focused stimuli. One picture showed a crystalline form after listening to Mozart. Another picture showed a different crystalline form after receiving a blessing of “love and gratitude”. Still more astonishing, the crystalline form completely broke down when exposed to heavy metal music, and later to the words “You make me sick…I will kill you.” These are all waveforms, penetrating and affecting water on a molecular level. This is empirical proof.

Now why is this information and insight so important? Well, consider the fact that you, me, everyone who has a human form is made up of approximately 70% water. If water can change in molecular composition by virtue of what we think and say, imagine how our thoughts and words impact one another and ourselves. It has a direct affect on our health, both physically and mentally, and is a conduit for the receiving of mental, spiritual and psychic energy all around us. We are in fact walking receivers for psychic impulses and information. Don’t believe this is true? Stare at a person on the street who is looking away and see how quickly they turn in your direction. Need more food for thought? Consider the transistor radio. What does it use to receive signals? A crystal. What is water on a molecular level? Crystalline. There is so much more to this, but I will stop here and save it for a rainy day; just let your thoughts, like the water, take you to where it needs to go.

As we move about in this bio-computer we far too often identify as self, it is important to begin to differentiate between what is conscious awareness and what is biological and wave form programming and conditioning due to outward stimuli. The implications are amazing. Just remember, garbage in, garbage out. We must be conscious cause if we are to ensure our own spiritual evolution and become a part of the Infinite awareness that is our birthright as Soul. Good journey; talk to you again soon.

Making Lemonade

It's been a whirlwind couple of weeks; been offline for a bit due to my computer crashing and I ran into some minor health issues, but everything is fine now (at least the health part; computer needs a new motherboard, yikes!). Anyway, it got me to thinking about situations and challenges we all confront at various periods of our lives and how we deal with them respectively. I was reminded of that old saying, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade."

I remember early on in my personal spiritual development working through and accepting a very important principle that I've come to live by, and the challenges we all face when we begin to understand these principles intellectually, but not necessarily in practice. One of these principles states, "It's not the situation that is important, but your reaction to it." Within this nuanced perspective lies the seeds of great wisdom and enlightenment, for in truth we have all been placed here to become masters in our own right; masters of our environment and our personal universe. Consistent with this mastery is a moment-to-moment recognition that we all live in a world of physical illusion and that the circumstances we confront daily are designed to teach us. I have referenced this many times in my early entries such as Everything is Spiritual and the Daily Contemplation to name a few.

This moment-to-moment recognition of the illusion we live in is one of the essential elements of Awakening to the Oneness of God that is you. All too often we forget that this world in many respects is merely a stage play that we are all performing in, and we get so caught up in the minutia of the day that we fail to re-center ourselves into the recognition that we are all Spiritual beings. Those that get it understand the importance of getting back to spiritual center in every situation they are confronted with, and they handle the challenges confronting them with a cool head and steady presence of mind. This is not to say that you won't have an initial knee-jerk reaction from time to time when something happens that is not to your liking, but it does imply that you do not linger in this emotional funk for too long; that you get back to your awakened state.

We need to understand that everything in life (at least in these lower worlds) has a dualistic nature; a yin and yang or negative and positive energy potential. In the journey to understand the spiritual significance of situations and episodes that confront us daily, it is important to consistently ask ourselves two basic questions:

  1. What is the lesson that I'm supposed to learn here?

  2. How can I find a way to make this situation work for me?

To question 1, every situation that we are confronted with is in a real respect designed to teach us something. Often we are confronted with these lessons several times until we figure them out and get them right. Ignorance is no excuse. When you learn the lesson (gain the wisdom), you usually no longer have to go through the experience. But let's make sure we understand what learning the lesson means. It doesn't mean to understand it in your intellectual mind, but to practice it until it becomes a part of you; almost like muscle memory. Every experience brings with it the potential for growth. You just need to have the eyes to see, the courage to ask what the lesson is, and the heart and humility to understand and accept.

To question 2, what is important to again understand here is the dualistic nature of lower world existence and that every situation contains a polar opposite potential. To put it another way, for every positive thing that occurs, there is a potential negative thing that could occur; for every negative thing that occurs, there is a potential positive thing that could occur. The test becomes where do you choose to place your attention. Whatever you choose to place your attention on is where your energy and likelyhood for that thing to manifest will occur.

For those that don't understant their role in the creation of their lives, this can sometimes create a vicious cycle of unfortunate events, because they are on a self-perpetuating negativity loop. But unlike the grooves of an old record, we can change this pattern into something more beneficial and to our liking. We all have this power, many of us have just forgotten. The mentality of victimization is one of the worst illusions you could ever find yourself in; please don't allow this to enter into your psychic space from this moment further; don't accept this ever again. You control your destiny; no one else.

Back to my initial situation, when faced with a crashing computer and minor physical anomally, I had to ask myself those two important questions; what is the lesson and how can I use the situation to benefit me? Well, with the computer down, it provided me with the inspiration to write what you are now reading. I was also able to get started on cleaning up my office; something that I have been putting off for some time. I fortunately had backed up my work a day or two before and had all my data (thank you), and knew that my computer had been acting a bit glitchy for a while now but kept ignoring it. I have now made a personal commitment to address these warning signs much earlier before they get to be big problems; I prefer mole hills, not mountains. As for my health, there were a few things that I had been neglecting that I have now put back into my daily repetoire and am again living a more balanced life. I humbly concede that this was Spirit's way of getting my attention and forcing me to address things that I kind of neglected, even though I knew better. As the old saying goes, "You can pay me now or pay me later." When you get a bunch of lemons, you make lemonade, right? I get that, and have turned these potentially stressful situations into opportunities for living healthier, more vigilant, and becoming ever more spiritually focused in my daily awareness and outlook. The one thing that I do know with absolute certainty is that I exist because God loves me and that It wants me to succeed in everything I do.

Just so we're clear here, God loves you in the same way and with the same great expectations. The question becomes, are you bitching about your lemons or are you making a cool, tangy, refreshing drink?

Does Wisdom Erase Karma?

There is an esoteric school of thought that states that the attainment of wisdom negates the need for karma; an intriguing notion to say the least. But how true is it with respect to the laws of karma and the subtle balance of enlightenment and universal truth? Most people understand karma as the law of cause and effect; what goes around comes around; you must reap what you sow; or for every action there is an opposite but equal reaction. All of these statements are true in their own right. When you dig deeper into the mechanism of karma and how this balancing energy interacts with our lives and choices however, the revelations can be quite intricate and nuanced. There are many schools of thought as to the process that karma uses in determining a person’s destiny or fate based on choices and decisions in one life to the next, and many religions certainly have unique perspectives on just how this works.

There are some spiritual schools of thought that state that there are over 150 different types of karma, all working in concert to determine the course of ones spiritual evolution. But for this discussion, we are only going to focus broadly on four types of karma. In the Hindu (Vedantic) tradition which we will use here, they are identified as:

1. Sanchita Karma – This is considered the sum total of all the accumulated actions that you have created in all of your incarnations. It contains the vast stores of cause and effect choices you have made throughout your conscious existence.

2. Praarabdha Karma – This is considered a subset of Sanchita Karma, but with emphasis on actions that were set in motion in this life and the carry over from the last life. For example, certain conditions you might be dealing with in this life that you might feel is an unfair challenge or burden may in fact be the balancing of actions taken from the last life.

3. Kriyamana Karma – This is considered in the nomenclature to be instant karma. Its immediate cause and effect relationship is helpful in that it allows the conscious observer to connect the dots between choices and outcomes. It is daily karma, and helps one navigate through the waters of enlightenment to determine if he/she is on the right course or not. This is the karma we are most consciously aware of.

4. Aagami Karma – In some respects this is a subset of Kriyamana karma, but with emphasis on the future. It is the direct effect of actions taken now that serve as the determinant for reactions experienced in the future. This is in constant flux by virtue of choices and possibilities. What you do now determines what happens next.

This last one is very interesting because in some respects, it can be considered the karmic off-ramp by which parallel universes of possibilities exist. All of our choices and options create endless possibilities of alternate reality; but this is another topic for another time.

It is important to put things in perspective here by stating that we are the sum total of all of our experiences. Who or what we are now has been determined by the roads we have traveled before and choices that we have made leading up to what we remember of our infinite divine origins, now. All of these types of karma serve to monitor, assess and quantify our existence and growth. It is the karmic record keeper of our existence in the inner and outer worlds.

This brings us back to our original question; can wisdom erase karma? The truth is that karma to a great extent can be corrected. Expansion of awareness provides an option as to whether or not one has to go through (or continue to go through) an experience or not. Having said this, it is also important to realize that actions set in motion must inevitably run their course, like the waters of a river must inevitably flow to the sea. But our thoughts and actions now, along with the wisdom gained from our experience paves the way for what will occur in our future. So in truth, wisdom and karma are necessary pieces of the same intricately complex puzzle.

So as we come to understand in our daily spiritual evolution, nothing is cut and dry. The edges of truth become more rounded and the relativity of existence becomes more apparent. Considering this in combination with an understanding and recognition of reincarnation (please see A to 1 blog, Life, Death and Reincarnation - Feb. 18th, 2009) and the awakening to our true existence becomes one of infinite conscious expansion. It’s all about remembering who and what we are in context to our divine mission and expansion of universal awareness. Our existence is but an intricate droplet of awareness and experience necessary to All That Is in Its desire to gain experiential knowledge and infinite expansion. We are It, It is us, and we are one. Source cannot experience anything outside of itself, for there is nothing outside of it; it is all. Our infinite cycles of life, death, reincarnation, and the karmic underpinnings that make up experiential recognition of omniscience already attained is what we’re here for. Pretty cool gig when you think about it, for we are all part of the whole. No experience necessary, for that’s what the job we’ve been given is all about.

Understanding Belief (Part III)

Belief not only serves as a catalyst for manifestational change, it is the very foundation for ones personal universal structure within an inner and outer spiritual cosmology. Within this cosmology is the structural underpinning of ones life and attitudes towards his/her surroundings, and how life is often perceived within the framework of this belief system. It is the grist for the mill of a person’s expressive awareness and growth, but this belief system, while potentially life long in ones current or past incarnation is not static; it is very dynamic and subject to personal growth in accordance with the acceptance of universal truth.

Belief forms the prism under which we view our reality. But as our awareness expands and our belief realigns, so too does our view of this belief change by virtue of new and growing perspectives. This aspect of belief goes directly into the nuanced constructs of our world’s many religious systems. Through religion, these diverse belief systems form the matrix of one’s experiential relationship with the inner and outer world. Inner visions of Jesus or the Virgin Mary for Christians, Buddha for Buddhists, Mohammed for Islamists, or even personal masters that smaller sects and groups may follow are the forms and expressions that Spirit will use to manifest its divinity. It is often the very thing that validates a person’s belief in a certain religion or spiritual path; they saw this deity in a moment of need or crisis, therefore it exists. It is the true path.

What many fail to realize is that Spirit is not the least bit concerned about form but about substance. It will manifest in your inner and outer awareness in a form that is most conducive and consistent with your current state of consciousness and belief. If you are a staunch believer in a particular religious or spiritual path, then Spirit will manifest itself in that form that you are in alignment with; that you are most comfortable with. The thing to understand here is that it is never about the messenger, but the message.

In our historical expression of a belief in God or a higher power, we have far too often forgotten this most important aspect of spirituality (the message) and have place much more importance and credence on the outer messenger, not realizing that what they were trying to tell us each and every time was that we should only use them as an example as to how to find ones own path to God. It is worth noting here that no Spiritual being that has ever set foot on this earth has done so for the purpose of propagating a religion; not Jesus, not Buddha, not Krishna, not Mohammed, nor any other Spiritual giant. They all came to express the wonderment of God’s love and our connectedness as divine sparks of God awareness, and provided tools consistent with the consciousness of the times to help individuals get ready for the journey to find their own path back home to Source. It was in fact the followers, or disciples, who seemed to miss the boat and placed much too high a value on the messenger, subsequently placing them on a pedestal. In so doing, this immediately deified the messenger and created a subconscious construct that basically stated “I am not worthy and can never be like that.” It is through this process that every religion was eventually formed. Man and woman forgot their own connected divinity and fell into the illusion of separateness from Source. Within this separateness, the belief that one can only find God through an intercessor became accepted. As time moved on, individual interpretations of original spiritual doctrine solidified and formed the dogmatic constructs that we now deal with in all religions today.

I know that what is expressed here is potentially disturbing in its content, and if I have offended anyone please understand this is not my intention. It is my intention, however, to shake people’s comfort zones of understanding, and challenge them to look at things from a different perspective. If I have achieved this then I am content.

As we inevitably begin to grow in our inner and outer spiritual awareness, a wonderful thing begins to happen. Built into our spiritual DNA is a seed desire that we all possess. It is a desire stronger than the salmon’s drive to swim upstream for spawning, or the springtime ritual of the procreation of species. This seed desire is known as divine discontent. As we begin to grow and expand in our awareness, we yearn for something more; something greater than our current belief system is able to provide for us. In the search for spiritual truth we may study and experiment with many different paths, all of which have great value. But during this process, we begin to see and realize that the road starts to narrow. This narrowing road eventually and inevitably leads all Souls yearning for truth into an understanding that now, you are your own path to God. It is the same path that all Spiritual giants had come to in their own unique way. It is the same road that all of you will eventually find yourself traveling as you continue to grow and expand spiritually. We all have this potential; we all have this destiny. You may postpone it by virtue of denial, but you will inevitably find yourself here. When you do, it will be a wondrous revelation for you will realize that you have entered the first step, of the last stage, of your spiritual unfoldment. It may on the surface feel a bit lonely, but the truth is that you are never alone. The truth is that you are a spark of All That Is. Within this level of consciousness we are all one, we are all love. We are able to tap into the universal consciousness that is Source. From this moment forward, we are able to feel how our expansion of awareness helps to expand the universe, for we are one with the Divine. Embrace the journey; become the Source.

Understanding Belief (Part II)

Belief is such a powerful thing. Its double-edge sword of manifestational potential is simply incredible. You and you alone wield the power within your reality, but you must understand how it works in accordance with the laws of the universe. In Part I, I attempted to give you an integrated perspective into the mechanism of this force known as the law of attraction, and provide for you a simple affirmational tool to help you in achieving whatever it is you may want in life. Before I move into other aspects of belief however, I want to refine a few areas of understanding in what I shared earlier so as to give you some important contextual clarity.

In my last installment I stated, “…as we transition ever deeper into the heightened vibration of our new spiritual paradigm, the karmic connection between our seed thought and its out-pictured effect will become even more apparent in our conscious perception…Within this heightened vibratory reality, you may begin to experience the creation of thoughts manifesting at increased speed and in direct proportion to what energy you are feeding to the cosmos.” While this is true and we must remain vigilant in our exercise of mental discipline, there still exists a degree of lag time, which allows us a grace period to change our manifestational intent (if we want to) before actual out-picturing occurs. Even though this lag time will become increasingly shorter as vibrational reality increases, it will still be there for those who have not yet mastered greater control of their thought energy. I only say this to provide some peace of mind as we move ever closer to our divine evolution. The good news is that within this heightened evolution there is an expanded awareness and understanding, as well as a greater conscious connectedness with universal thought and divine omniscience. In other words, there’s no need to worry during this transition, for Source energy will provide what you need for your personal evolvement. You will quickly grow into your expanded awareness (Awaken) and an ever increasing connected consciousness based on divine love.

That said however, within this context I also want to continue to make you consciously aware of the duality of this universe (positive and negative), and the potential detriment in allowing fear to permeate your consciousness. You do have the power; you really do. As Eleanor Roosevelt so aptly put it, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” Also true, no one can make you feel fear or any other emotion without your consent. Your creational energy is inside/out; that is, whatever you choose to feel is within your power. Your inalienable right is to decide what your next thought will be. I bring this up continuously because one of the by-products of our current state of world crisis is the continual building up of fear consciousness. This is precisely what we do not want to have happen, for it affects the energy field we all live in. A growing mass consciousness of fear in tandem with a heightened rate of vibrational reality is not a good combination. It will take like-minded individuals like you and I to counter this fear-energy-based mass consciousness with the power of love energy. We must be conscious channels of love. If we all become conscious beacons for this love force, outflowing its energy everywhere we tred, there is simply no way for fear to overtake it, and the love-based vibratory transition that is intended will occur as it should.

Now getting back to the recap here, I would like to provide some reinforcement in the affirmation exercise I provided in Part I. One thing that I want to re-emphasize here is the importance of feeling excited about the thing you are creating. This is the thought/feeling combination that I spoke of last time. Visualization is a great tool while doing this affirmation. Close your eyes and see yourself doing or enjoying the thing that you are creating on the inner. Really get into it. What you are seeing on the inner is in fact “real” there; it exists. It only needs to out-picture here (now). Think of it sort of like a mail order or Internet purchase that you might make. You place the order, give your credit card info and receive a confirmation number for the order. You now own it; you are simply waiting for UPS or FedEx to send it. This example is precisely how you should frame your belief and feelings quotient as you create your reality. You have it NOW. You’re merely waiting for it to get here. Use these refinements in your understanding of how this Law of Attraction works, and I am certain you will come to a personal conclusion and confirmation that all of this stuff is real.
One final piece. Everything that you have already created in your life will need to run its course (its karmic conclusion), but you have the power to change your future based on what you think NOW. This gets the creative energy flowing that provides you with the changes that will occur down the road. But you must accept it now and focus on the solution; not the problem (and in the perfect way).

In my next and final installment on the subject of belief, I’m going to go in an entirely different direction from where I started in Parts I and II. I’ll show you how this other aspect of belief is equally relevant and pivotal in our understanding of a relationship with God and how that relationship grows and changes as we grow. I hope you check it out. There is a lot to uncover when we begin to peel back the onion of spiritual truth, and the truth is we will never stop learning (remembering) and growing; there’s always a plus element to our expanded awareness and consciousness. Good thing too, since we live in eternity as Soul. We need something to do.

Understanding Belief (Part I)

Napoleon Hill and other scholars often used or expressed sentiments based on the phrase, “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” This idea goes quite a long way in identifying the construct of our physical existence and existential outflow. Within this construct though, is an antecedent that is equally compelling and powerful. If we look at this phrase from its opposite perspective, we come up with something like “If you cannot believe it or conceive it, you cannot achieve it.” The common denominator in both of these affirmations is belief. Belief is the prime ingredient in determining the outcome of a task, goal, or challenge. If you cannot believe a thing is possible, then it is likely that the outcome will mirror this original intent. Both of these formulaic summations are directly impacted by the universal spiritual principle that many have come to understand as the Law of Attraction.

This law of attraction is a neutral law. It is important to understand this and its implications right away, for ignorance of the law is no excuse. As a neutral force, it does not place a value judgment on any thought, feeling or desire, one way or another. Metaphorically speaking, it is the Genie in the lamp who does not limit its grantee to 3 wishes but repeatedly states, “Your wish is my command.” This neutral force surrounds us at all times and is activated by what we think and what we feel. I want to highlight the words “think and feel” because these two energies go hand-in-hand in the out-picturing of a thought or belief; more on this a bit later.

My mother was a college professor and dynamic orator. She used to speak to many an audience on how to take charge of ones life. Often she would use a phrase that I first heard in my youth and has stayed with me throughout my adult life; “A thought is a prayer.” What she meant by this is that in exactly the same way we exercise the intent of petition through prayer, our thoughts basically create the same effect and outcome. The cosmic energy makes no distinction between a formal petition through prayer and an impassioned thought. Now, as we transition ever deeper into the heightened vibration of our new spiritual paradigm, the karmic connection between our seed thought and its out-pictured effect will become even more apparent in our conscious perception. It is for this reason that I have repeatedly written on the importance of practicing mental discipline. Within this heightened vibratory reality, you may begin to experience the creation of thoughts manifesting at increased speed and in direct proportion to what energy you are feeding to the cosmos. Without vigilance and proper discipline, chaos could quickly fall within your personal universe. This chaos often comes from the feeding of fear energy and victimized thinking into your consciousness. Our current economic climate has certainly helped to feed this beast with ever compounding energy. Within this energy cycle, the law of attraction only feeds on what you are giving it, so if you continue to feel fear, it provides the conditions by which you can continue to manifest this energy. You can stop this vicious cycle, however, with intentioned thought energy, and a shift from focused energy of the problem to focused energy on your desired outcome. With conscious recognition of how this energy works, you can begin to direct your intentions to create abundance in your life with ever increasing speed and proficiency, regardless of outside conditions. It is not a given, though; you still have to do the necessary work, but the cause and effect relationship becomes ever shorter.

Now I had mentioned earlier the importance of the words “think” and “feel” within the context of belief and the power of manifestation. These two inner forces form the perfect tag-team in our ability to get what we want. Many people have explained this concept in different ways, and I’m sure that by virtue of universal truth we are all to some degree saying the same thing, but I want to emphasize the importance of these two energies in tandem from a unique perspective. Everything begins as a thought. Then the goal and effort is made to transfer this seed energy into an outward manifestation. Thought alone does not always accomplish this end game. It is through the combination of thought energy and feeling energy (belief); an emotional passion which helps in the persistence and consistency of the original thought to eventually manifest a thing into physical reality. The “feeling” or emotional energy is important because it serves as the last ingredient (the pull-through energy) needed to manifest in the physical. This is because the emotional energy (some call it astral energy) is thought to correspond with an inner plane that is positioned directly outside the vibrational field of the physical. In other words, its vibrational rate is slightly higher than physical reality. As such, it is considered by many to be the final doorway before physical form is created. Many may dispute this and argue the described cosmology as pseudo-science. That is their right, but my intention and motivation here is to give you a logic-based understanding of how this creational mechanism works so that you can employ the proper techniques in creating your reality.

Now how we put this belief into practical use is relatively straight forward. With belief as our foundation, I will provide you with an exercise that I learned very young and have utilized throughout much of my life. When done properly, its outcomes can be utterly astounding. The exercise in the form of an affirmation goes like this:

“I accept the perfect _______, with the perfect_______, in the perfect way.”

Breaking down these components,

the beginning phrase “I accept” is important because you are telling the cosmos that you accept whatever you are trying to manifest NOW. To say “I want” only tells the cosmos that its energy should remain in the future; you will always want it, not have it. “Accept” brings it in the now; you’ve already received the gift.

“the perfect____” is telling the cosmos that whatever you desire will be perfect for you. You may not know what “perfect” means because you simply don’t know enough, but this neutral energy is an intelligent force, and its goal is to create the perfect manifestation.

“with the perfect_____” provides you with a certain level of specificity, but I would caution you not to get too specific; just enough that it meets your fundamental requirements.

“in the perfect way”. This is probably the most important part of the affirmation, because again, you don’t know enough, but the spiritual energy is omniscient. It is not your job to tell this force how you want it done, it is only for you to plant the seed in the proper way. Then “Let go and let God”, as the saying goes.

Try this in your next manifestational exercise and let me know how it goes. I’d like to hear how it works for you. One extra piece of this equation is to continue to visualize what you want. Again, focus on the goal; not the problem.

Finally, I’d like to end this post with another quotation from my mother that she was famous for uttering, “You have the power to define…define what it is you choose to be in your life and how you choose to live it.” Again, it comes down to belief. This belief gives you the power to define who you are in your own terms, not the terms that others may try to place upon you. Regardless of outside forces that attempt to manipulate you into thinking that you are not worth the space that you occupy, you have the power to determine your divine grace. Remember, you are a spark of God awareness. You come from Source. You are no less great than anyone else in existence. You just forgot this. Your powers and abilities are limitless, but you don’t believe it, therefore it is not. Belief begins with belief in yourself and your divine heritage. Be the great Soul that you were already created to be. You have the power to define. Define it.

What Is a Quantum Leap?

The phrase “Quantum Leap” has become a somewhat overused part of our social vernacular during the past several years. As such, the use of this term has become synonymous with major change, exponential growth, even a dimensional shift. While these generic references may perhaps provide a cursory glimpse into what it implies, in truth it is much more subtle and malleable than this. As just stated, some believe that quantum means a major shift. It may indeed have a major impact, but in truth it is an infinitesably small enhancement that is often indiscernible to our senses, nonetheless signifying a new paradigm.

Wikipedia states that “In physics, a quantum leap or quantum jump is a change of an electron from one energy state to another within an atom.” In our common vernacular, it has come to mean a radical change in the nature of something that is synonymous with an advancement or growth of some kind. All of this gets us closer, but its magnitude is still elusive. The term “quantum” itself actually means a discrete and often undetectable shift, but one that takes something to a different level; a new place. To put it another way, its actual mechanics are on the micro level, but its impact is on the macro level.

How and why is this spiritually significant? Because, as discussed in several earlier entries of Awaken to One, we are indeed entering into a quantum shift of energetic vibrational change. It is a creation wave that is currently impacting us now and will continue to have amazing results for each of us individually as well as the universe as a whole.

One of the most elegant aspects of our vast universe, which has continued to be impressively explained through the science of quantum mechanics is that there is a direct correlation and similarity of what happens on a micro level to what occurs on a macro level. The same shifts and designs (appearances) on the atomic level tend to also occur on the celestial level. This change of atomic characteristics from one energy state to another has an affect on the vibrational level of a thing. If this shift is great enough, it can affect all things.

What we’re talking about here is the enhancement and refinement of our vibrational density to another level; a higher level. With it our conscious awareness is expanded. Our understanding of the universe and the multiple dimensions in and around it is growing, and most importantly, or inner recognition of our Divine Source is being awakened and fully realized. With this higher vibration, even our physiology is changing. Our ability to manifest what we want in our lives will begin to occur much more rapidly, which makes it very important to practice mental discipline. Some of you are witnessing these occurrences already; others may be starting to connect the dots to things that have been and are currently going on in your lives.

With this expanded awareness, many pre-conceived notions and beliefs will begin to fall away, because you are now beginning to remember more and more the Divine truth that is implicit in your makeup. It has always been there, but now the sleeper awakens. It is indeed a major paradigm shift, and with this change there are bound to be some bumps and bruises along the way. But this is a part of the change process. Please know that in the grand scheme of things everything is in perfect order.

It should be pointed out here that evil, bourn from fear, cannot effectively function within this highly charged vibrational field. But fear can also hold us back and we have a choice as to whether or not we want to live within this consciousness, regardless of outer circumstance. Remember, your life is an inside/out creation and manifestation. Only higher consciousness with its foundation in love can prevail and live in this space. Ponder the implications of this for a moment. Again, one must choose where he/she intends to live and to be. Do not allow negativity and fear to hold you back. You have the power to decide where you want to be and where you want to go.

Where this quantum shift comes from will be explored more in later discussions, but like any wave, vibrational or otherwise, you need to make the decision and have the courage to ride it. If you don’t, you will be left behind until the next wave comes. As for me, there’s no time like the present.
